Wrinkle Relaxing
Anti-wrinkle injections are injected into the skin to temporarily relax the muscles and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It works by blocking the communication between the nerves and the muscles, preventing the muscular movement that causes wrinkles. Over a period of time, muscle movement is restored with a 'wearing off effect'.
The most common problem areas to be treated are frown lines (between the eyebrows), forehead, and crow's feet. A consultation is required before booking a treatment. Not everyone is suitable for anti-wrinkle injections. You cannot have this treatment if you are Pregnant or Breast Feeding.
After Your Treatment
You will not see the results immediately after your treatment, as it can take 3-5 days before the injections take effect, although it may take up to two weeks for the full effect to be seen.
You may experience headaches or flu-like symptoms 24-48 hours after the treatment and there may be slight bruising at the injection site. A two-week review is required after your treatment.
