Thread veins, also known as spider veins, are a type of vascular lesion that are typically benign in nature, but can present aesthetic concerns for patients. For this reason, many seek laser treatment to effectively remove or improve the appearance of their thread veins.
What is Laser Thread Vein Removal Treatment?
We use a 980nm diode laser to target tiny blood vessels and vascular lesions like thread veins without causing damage to the skin.
During treatment, laser energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the blood in the capillaries. As a result, the walls of the targeted vein are destroyed and the blood vessel is no longer visible, vastly improving the appearance of the skin.

However, visible veins can develop and be treated across most areas of the body.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Most patients only require one session to see a major reduction in the appearance of their targeted thread veins.
However, it is safe to undergo additional sessions every 4-6 weeks, if required.

Consultation
It is advisable to have a consultation before your treatment. During your consultation, we will assess the problem area and discuss the most suitable treatment plan for you.
It is also recommended to have a patch test to ensure that your skin is able to tolerate laser treatment. If you are deemed suitable, a bespoke treatment plan will be created to treat your face or leg veins.
Procedure
Laser thread vein removal with the 980nm diode laser is usually quick and effective. We will carefully and precisely target the spider veins with the laser, delivering heat energy to the blood vessels. This treatment process can then be repeated for any additional spider veins you wish to treat. Once the blood vessels are destroyed, the appearance of your spider veins should be reduced, or may disappear entirely.
Recovery & Results
The laser requires no downtime after treatment, meaning you will be able to return to your daily activities as normal. You may, however, experience a small degree of inflammation or bruising in the treated area(s), though these should not interfere with your regular activity and should quickly fade.
Clients are usually able to see a major improvement in the appearance of their thread veins following just one session. The blood vessels may appear faded or may disappear completely. However, stubborn or larger areas may require multiple sessions to reach your aesthetic goals. Additional treatments a repeated 4-6 weeks apart.
